Frequently asked questions
What is Slopcheck?
Slopcheck is a daily puzzle that helps you practice spotting AI-generated photos, the kind used in scams, fake news, and emotional hooks online. Each day you get six photos, one at a time. Flag each as Real or AI, learn whether you were right, then move on. At the end you’ll see your score and the tells to watch for.
Why was it made?
AI photos are showing up in messages, newsfeeds, and donation pleas. Many people never got a calm place to practice telling them apart. Slopcheck was made especially for older adults and anyone who didn’t grow up with this technology.
What does “slop” mean?
“Slop” is informal slang for low-effort AI content that floods the internet. Slopcheck is about slowing down and checking.
How do I play?
You’ll see one photo at a time. Tap to zoom and look closely, then choose Real or AI. You’ll get an immediate verdict, then the next photo. After all six, we show your score, a shareable result, and the clues behind each answer.
